With a little extra money to spare you are not too eager to indulge into a stringent lifestyle anymore. However you still are on a lone sojourn around the world and discover some of the best cities to visit.
With mature taste and preferences, you may find it difficult to pick out on places that shall provide for different sources for your mind that soul. The inevitable cravings while a 30 something man travels. Your motivation may be food, charity or well being and self healing. Business could be in mind as well.

Siem Reap, Cambodia
While talking about South East Asia Bangkok should always feature high in your priority list. We cannot really blame the phenomena for the bustling city comes alive at night with party scene and great food.
However if you are trying to shy away from the crowd and still want gorgeous experience, try Siem Reap in your next visit. Located close to the ancient ruined temple complex of Angkor Wat, which is the largest religious place in the world presently, Siem Reap is a small town that offers amazing water body, exotic food, rustic way of living life by the locals and a decent night market.
Of course, there is no dearth of options to rest in the place, from budget hostels to luxury resorts. With the temple ruins that need months to explore in detail (for tourists, 3 days are recommended), you will have surprises and tales of a lifetime gathered with you.
The pretty town by the Bay of Bengal, just a couple of hours drive from Chennai could be your next go to town. The pretty city oozes extremely positive vibes. Locals are friendly and helpful. Liquor is cheap (Pondicherry is a Union Territory, hence tax is exempted).
The area houses some of the best beaches of the country. Queue up early in the morning to visit the paradise island. Once a French colony, the best of French cuisine in the country can be experienced in the eateries, houses in the old French villas. In case you are willing to explore the spiritual side of your mind, do visit the Auroville Ashram.
Cape Town, South Africa
The port city of South Africa has been astounding travellers across globe from time immemorial. Also named as Cape of Good Hope, the city shows intricate architecture, breathtaking views from the hillocks, quick trips at the outskirts that is varied with nature’s abundance and great gourmet selection. Often voted as the best city for holidaying Cape Town merges best of both world seamlessly.
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
In case you want to indulge in great party scene, look no further than Brazil’s adored Rio. The “Marvellous City” as the local prefers to call it is rich in culture, the annual carnival, breathtaking landscape and laid back beach culture.
Home to multiple beautiful beaches makes it a choice for many discerning tourists. While in Rio, hike up Corcovado (meaning hunchback) hill that lets you glimpse through the sugar loaf mountain and its landmark statue of Cristo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer).
